A landmark in Almere Centrum HIGHnote, Almere, Flevoland

The City Center of Almere is still undergoing development. The quality of living in the polder city has been further enhanced by AM with the construction of HIGHnote. A striking tower that programmatically caters to the housing needs of first-time buyers - a group that deserves significant support in this time of housing market scarcity.

Housing offer for starters

AM has already developed several projects in Almere, catering extensively to families. However, the demand from the housing market is broader: there are also many young people who want to (continue to) live in Almere. Specifically for the target group of starters and young professionals, there was a lack of suitable offerings in the municipality, as indicated by AM's market analysis. They are currently unable to enter the housing market. HIGHnote meets that need.

A vibrant place for starters and young professionals

Vibrant city center

At the core of the concept for HIGHnote was the desire to combine residential construction with functions that can contribute to the liveliness of the City Center. The mixed program therefore explicitly focuses on this. Not only does the project include 157 starter apartments, but the multifunctional plinth also features a restaurant with formal and informal work and study spaces. Additionally, there are several semi-public outdoor areas with their own atmosphere and design (the Hof, the Werf, and the Daktuin). The worlds of living, working, staying and meeting seamlessly blend together here. The flexible layout of the building (designed by the architecture studio Studioninedots) also allows for alternative layouts in the future, enabling adaptation to changing societal needs.

Friends apartments

Rockfield Real Estate has now taken over the HIGHnote project. This investor specializes in the target group of starters and young professionals and aligns with their co-living concept and various communal facilities in the building. It is noteworthy that the residential program also includes a number of Friends apartments: the AM concept where two individuals have their own sleeping and bathing areas and share the remaining rooms. This is the first time that Friends apartments are being offered in Almere.
