The former Groot Ziekengasthuisterrein (Grand Hospital Site) holds significant cultural-historical value. It's also noteworthy that the inner-city river, the Binnendieze, flows underneath the area. Within this unique context, a phased mixed urban program is being realized. The former main building has been demolished and the underground parking garage beneath it is being converted into a contemporary garage for residents, allowing the area to be largely car-free, thereby enhancing the quality of living. This adds a new and appealing dimension to one of the most attractive city centers in the Netherlands.
A new piece of downtown for Den Bosch Gasthuiskwartier, Den Bosch
Gasthuiskwartier is formed by a interplay of unique homes, in various colors and materials. It has the atmosphere of the old city center, but above all, it is a contemporary living environment. A neighborhood with its own story. And with a wide range of townhouses, city homes, and apartments. The architecture of the homes aligns with the authentic facades of 's-Hertogenbosch and offers all the conveniences of modern new construction. A new piece of the Bossche downtown emerges, where old and new, national monuments and characterful new homes, form a unified whole.
- Unique and contemporary

Gasthuiskwartier is a neighborhood with its own story
Second life for monuments
The area boasts over ten (national) monuments, such as the Zusterhuis (Sisters' House), the Oude Apotheek (Old Pharmacy), the Stergebouw (Star Building) and the Kapel (Chapel). These monuments are being repurposed in a manner fitting to the location. They temporarily house entrepreneurs (creative businesses, cultural-societal organizations and hospitality). This temporary use has significantly contributed to putting this area on the map. The developers earned the LEEGaward for this; recognition for the most creative and socially responsible temporary use of vacant real estate.
