The Deelawards are awarded annually to municipalities and, since this year, also to project and area developers who distinguish themselves in making shared cars, shared bicycles, shared scooters and shared cargo bikes accessible. AM stood out for its integrated approach and successful application of shared mobility in various housing projects.
AM wins national award for innovative commitment to shared mobility
30 September 2025Area developer AM has been named winner of the national Deelaward in the category of project and area developers. The award, presented by Natuur & Milieu in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Natuurlijk!Deelmobiliteit programme, recognises AM’s progressive vision and concrete results in the field of shared mobility.
The expert jury was particularly impressed by the Stadsveteraan 020 project, in which AM demonstrates that shared mobility can also be a good alternative for target groups other than “hip yuppies”. Minister Tieman of Infrastructure and Water Management expressed his appreciation: 'Area developer AM has successfully incorporated shared cars into a housing project for the elderly. It's great to see how AM is also focusing on a different target group than what we often see.'

Focusing on sustainable mobility
The growing demand for housing in the Netherlands goes hand in hand with increasing pressure on our infrastructure and accessibility. More private cars are undesirable and hardly feasible. We would rather make room for green spaces, socialising and exercise. Shared mobility offers part of the solution to this challenge. By focusing on this, we can keep cities and regions accessible and neighbourhoods liveable. As a partner of Share-North Squared, we work internationally with public and private parties to improve and scale up shared mobility. This is particularly important for residents of social and mid-range rental housing.
