As an impact-driven area developer, AM is committed to creating living environments that contribute to a better world. With a focus on climate, health and community, AM develops neighbourhoods where people live longer and happier, where everyone can participate and where a climate-positive future is built together.
“The B Corp Certification is an important milestone for us, something to be proud of,” says Ronald Huikeshoven, managing director at AM. “We see it as our responsibility to create living environments that are healthy, inclusive and future-proof. The B Corp Certification confirms that we are on the right track with our social commitment as a company, but it also encourages us to raise the bar even higher.”
B Corp Certification is awarded by B Lab, the international organisation behind B Corp. B Corp Certification covers all business activities and encompasses five key impact areas: governance, employees, community, environment and customers. The certification process is rigorous: applicants must achieve a benchmark score of at least 80 (out of 200) points and provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices in the areas of energy supply, waste and water use, employee compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. With this certification, AM joins an impressive list of B Corps in the Netherlands, including brands such as Tony's Chocolonely, Auping, Albert Heijn and Triodos Bank. To maintain their certification, B Corps must be recertified every three years.
AM remains committed to raising the bar even higher and increasing its impact. The B Corp Certification encourages further development towards a sustainable and inclusive future.
