The plan provides for a varied housing supply with room for everyone: from social rental homes to medium and higher-priced owner-occupied homes. There will be a total of 79 social housing units, 166 medium-priced units and 74 units in the higher price segment. The neighborhood will have a park-like layout with green areas, water features and places for cooling - aimed at a healthy and climate-adaptive living environment.

Participation and careful coordination
Thirteen views were submitted during the public inspection period in early 2025. These led to a number of adjustments in the plan. Agreements were also made with local residents about traffic measures, responding to concerns about cut-through traffic.
Looking ahead to realization
An important condition for implementation is the relocation of some businesses in the plan area, including Praxis and Welkoop. The municipality is working on a new PDV location at Helmondsingel so that these companies can relocate and create space for housing development.
The sale of the first homes is expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026. Construction is expected to start in mid-2026.
