The redevelopment site is located on the edge of residential boulevard WOOON opposite the Alrijne hospital. The current church building will make way for the new Elisabethhof apartment complex. This complex will soon offer housing for different target groups, such as active seniors, starters, people moving on and people who have a social or economic connection to Leiderdorp.
Approximately 35 percent of the apartments will be social rental housing and 30 percent will be middle rental housing. The remaining apartments will be free-sector owner-occupied homes. All homes will be life-cycle-proof and thus suitable for different stages of life.
Alderman for Housing, Spatial Planning and Sustainability Gebke van Gaal said, “This is a wonderful project. There will be affordable housing and the developer has paid a lot of attention to sustainability. The plan also gives a nice boost to living together in Leiderdorp. We look forward to the moment when the homes are realized.”
Annemarie Jol (Director of Development at AM): “We are pleased to be able to add a diverse, affordable and sustainable housing offer for various target groups to Leiderdorp, in a constructive cooperation with the municipality.”
