Atlas 1 is the second residential building within the Rotterdams Tij urban development. The first phase of Atlas 1 involves the construction of a total of 135 homes. In addition to the 80 social housing units, 30 lifetime-proof owner-occupied homes and 25 owner-occupied studio flats will be built. The Atlas development consists of several buildings that will be realised in phases. In total, this involves approximately 650 homes and various amenities, such as shops and catering establishments.<\/p>\n
The project contributes to a varied housing supply for different target groups and meets the significant need for affordable housing in Rotterdam.<\/p>\n
With this agreement, Woonstad Rotterdam is providing a sustainable place to live for households reliant on social housing. Rotterdams Tij is a large-scale urban development in Rotterdam South, combining housing, amenities and public spaces. Following the Imagine residential building, previously completed by AM, Heijmans and BAM, Atlas 1 represents the second phase in the transformation of this area. The project connects the Hillesluis neighbourhood with the future Waterkant development and is being developed with a strong focus on sustainability, mobility and quality of life, including energy-efficient systems and green (roof) gardens.<\/p>\n
The signing of the so-called turnkey agreement paves the way for the further realisation of Atlas 1 and brings the completion of the social housing units a step closer. BAM and Heijmans Vastgoed are collaborating on the Rotterdams Tij area development through the Rotterdams Tij Development Consortium (OCRT), which is responsible for the area development and sales.
